Developed by David Rice and Aaron Michael with the contributions
of many members of the Wind Synth/Controller Users List.

This s is still a BETA version. You can edit the element
parameters and breakpoints. You can also tune the voice manualy
or with the autotune function.

We have not yet added all the "control" section parameters like
effects. We hope to add them in an upcoming version. Meanwhile
you can edit them from the front panel or use Daniel Reisinger's
common part editor available at:
http://iphcip1.physik.uni-mainz.de/~reisinge/program3.html

Distributed in a single ZIP file: VLED-ALL.ZIP
Updates to the EXE will be distributed as VLED-NEW.ZIP amd will
contain only updated files.

You need to start with VLED-ALL.ZIP. It contains:

BC450RTL DLL 04-21-95 Runtime DLL's
BIDS45 DLL 01-08-97 "
BWCC DLL 02-28-95 "
MIDISYS DLL 02-04-96 "
OWL252 DLL 08-29-95 "
README TXT 04-12-99 This Readme
VLED-FAQ TXT 04-12-99 Frequently asked questions and more help.
VLEDITOR LIB 01-18-97 A library of VL70m voices
VLEDITOR EXE 03-21-99 The Expert Editor program
VLGUIDE TXT 01-18-98 Manny's guide*

*VLGUIDE.TXT is a text version of the guide to editing VL voices
written by Manny Fernandez, and distributed with permission. It
can be read with any ASCII text editor or word processor.

Please note: There is no online help file. Selecting HELP in the
ExEd only gives an error message. We hope to include one
soon.

The Editor includes all the utilities we previously released as
DOS versions, so you can load custom and current voice formats
as well as libraries. See the VLED-FAQ.TXT for further help.

The DLL's can be in your VL directory(folder), the Windows
directory, or the Windows\System directories. It's easiest if you
keep the libraries in the same directory as the VLEditor.

To install:

1. Create a new directory (folder) named VLEDIT using File
Manager (Win3.x), Explorer (Win95/8) or DOS (md \VLEDIT).

2. UnZIP ALL the files in VLED-ALL.ZIP into this directory.

3. Create a Program item or shortcut to VLEDITOR.EXE to run the
program. You can also run the program from the Run menu or from
File Manager or Explorer.

Thanks to all for your contributions.
